The fluid then takes the shape of the container in which it is located.  Then, there are two types of fluids: compressible fluids and non-compressible fluids. Incompressible fluids are those fluids that cannot change volume when placed in a confined space. Liquids are examples of incompressible fluids.  Finally, there are compressible fluids whose volume can change even if the fluid is in a restricted space. Gases are compressible fluids.
