La règle va comme suit : on repère d’abord le chiffre situé à la position à arrondir. Puis, on analyse le chiffre directement à sa droite.
S’il s’agit d’un 0, d’un 1, d’un 2, d’un 3 ou d’un 4, le chiffre situé à la position à arrondir ne change pas. S’il s’agit d’un 5, d’un 6, d’un 7, d’un 8 ou d’un 9, on ajoute 1 au chiffre situé à la position à arrondir.
