Un nombre cubique est un nombre pouvant s'exprimer sous la forme n³.
Voyons des exemples.
$$ \begin{align} &2^3&&=&& 2 \times 2 \times 2 &&=&& 8 \\ &3^3 &&=&& 3 \times 3 \times 3 &&=&& 27 \\ &4^3 &&=&& 4 \times 4 \times 4 &&=&& 64 \\ \end{align} $$
Ainsi, 8, 27 et 64 sont des nombres cubiques
