What is a number line?
A number line is a line divided into equal parts on which numbers are ordered.
On a line, the numbers are placed in ascending order. The first number on the left is the smallest and the last number on the right is the largest.
A number line is separated into equal parts. These parts are called intervals that represent equal jumps.
Example:
The graduation interval of this number line is + 2.
