How the Alloprof Help Zone can help your child

Article

If you are like most parents, you probably keep your fingers crossed every day, hoping that homework time will go off without a hitch. However, despite your child’s best efforts (not to mention your own!), they will inevitably get stuck on an assignment or need clarifications on a concept from time to time. Fortunately, the Alloprof Help Zone is an excellent resource that offers homework and study support seven days a week. Here are five reasons to introduce your child to the Help Zone.

Explanations are easy to find

In this day and age, when looking for an answer to an academic question, our first instinct is often to search online. However, this can be frustrating for kids and teens. Not only do they need to sift through an abundance of irrelevant and incorrect information, but they also need to navigate the risks of using the internet.

Of course, they can always browse Alloprof’s concept sheets. But with the Help Zone, there is no need to search for a relevant, comprehensive, and customized answer to their question. Here is how to use it:

  • First, using a computer, tablet, or phone, you need to log in or create an account. Remember to write down your password!
  • Then, make your way to the Help Zone (link in the upper right-hand corner of all pages on the site!).
  • Type a question in the “What is your question?” box. You can also submit a photo (yes, even geometry drawings!) or screenshot along with your question.
  • Select the appropriate subject and grade level, and click “Publish.” And there you have it!
  • Your child will then receive a notification that will take them to the explanation for their question in “My Questions.”

Another advantage of asking questions in the Help Zone is that they are always anonymous! When a user creates an account on Alloprof, a fun nickname is automatically assigned to them. All the more reason not to worry about asking questions!

It helps students consolidate their understanding of concepts

You know what they say: there is no such thing as a stupid question. Asking questions is the best way for children to develop their interests and explore the world around them. Asking questions can also lead them to researching other topics and consolidate their understanding of a concept.

When a child asks for help, they are demonstrating autonomy by showing that they want to play an active role in their academic success. By using the Help Zone, they also get the chance to explain concepts already mastered to other students. This is a great opportunity to cooperate and develop their skills.

Verified explanations are provided quickly

The explanations posted in the Help Zone are reliable. Moderators are on hand seven days a week to ensure that students receive complete, accurate, and timely explanations. You could say it is like having access to a workshop of elves who labour behind the scenes to answer questions. While your child is waiting for their answer, they can move on to other work with peace of mind.

It complements other resources

Explanations posted in the Help Zone often include additional information in the form of concept sheets or videos. These resources are excellent for enhancing understanding. When your child visits our site, they will also discover a wealth of other practical tools, including games, exercises, review guides, and more.

It is available 24/7

Having access to a homework help service 24/7 is a tremendous asset for students. Of course, if your child wants to give themself the best chance for success, they should avoid rushing to find an answer at the very last minute. One way to avoid frustration when homework gets overwhelming and deadlines are approaching is to develop organizational strategies and time management skills. Our articles on these topics will help your child become a real homework whiz!
