What are the units of time?
To measure time, you can use different units.
- Seconds (sec)
- Minutes (min)
- Hours (h)
- Days
- Weeks
- Months
- Years
There are certain equivalences between the different units of time.
- 1 minute = 60 seconds
- 1 hour = 60 minutes
- 1 day = 24 hours
- 1 month = 30 or 31 days
- 1 month = 4 weeks
- 1 year = 52 weeks
- 1 year = 365 days
Words such as daily, weekly, and yearly can be used to talk about an event that happens on a regular basis.
A daily event occurs once a day.
- Jasmine puts foam in her daily bath.
- I drink orange juice for lunch daily.
A weekly event occurs once a week.
Henry goes to his weekly circus class.
An annual event occurs once a year.
Felix and his parents are having their annual picnic.
