What are the units of time?

To measure time, you can use different units.

Examples
  • Seconds (sec)
  • Minutes (min)
  • Hours (h)
  • Days
  • Weeks
  • Months
  • Years

There are certain equivalences between the different units of time.

Examples
  • 1 minute = 60 seconds
  • 1 hour = 60 minutes
  • 1 day = 24 hours
  • 1 month = 30 or 31 days
  • 1 month = 4 weeks
  • 1 year = 52 weeks
  • 1 year = 365 days

Words such as daily, weekly, and yearly can be used to talk about an event that happens on a regular basis.

A daily event occurs once a day.
