Conduction is an electrical function performed by any electrical component that allows current to flow through a circuit in a system.

Electrical components responsible for conduction are generally made from materials with excellent electrical conductivity, such as metals.

Example

The wires in these cables are made of copper, a metal with excellent electrical conductivity.

This type of wire is used to connect the various electrical components in a circuit.

Two cables are made of several copper filaments.
