Alloprof’s best tools for teaching high school math

Article

Finding creative ways to teach high school math can be a challenge. With a dense curriculum that’s equally demanding for students and teachers, there isn’t always time to look for original tools and strategies. Fortunately, Alloprof has plenty of resources to make your work easier, whether you’re planning lessons or preparing an assessment. Here are five of them!

Concept sheets

The Alloprof website has more than 588 concept sheets for math that explain key topics with examples, exercises, and videos. What better way to review essential math skills? You can use concept sheets in class, to review material before a lesson, or as a reliable homework resource for your students.

Did you know

Alloprof concept sheets feature examples, exercises, and videos that summarize more than 5,000 concepts from the Quebec Education Program. It’s safe to say that every student will find the information they need to understand their homework better.

Exercices

Have you explored Alloprof’s exercises section yet? It’s a treasure trove of tools to help your students practise their math skills! It’s an excellent resource for reviewing concepts or diving deeper into a specific topic. For example, you could ask your students to practise factoring polynomials (we know it’s tricky!) or get to know the Cartesian plane, which is essential knowledge they’ll use throughout their education.

Review guides

Review guides are lists of all the concepts covered in a particular program that may appear on final exams. Each guide summarizes math concepts for a specific grade. Below is a list of all math review guides, organized by grade and math option (French only):

Il s’agit de l’outil idéal pour préparer votre révision de fin d’année et même pour la planification du cours. Vous pouvez l’utiliser comme liste de vérification afin de vous assurer que chacune des notions indispensables à la réussite de vos élèves est couverte.

Les aide-mémoires

Memory aids are the icing on the cake! They were created to summarize math course content for each grade. They’re the equivalent of review guides, but for students—they contain a list of topics students need to master to succeed. Memory aids are filled with reminders, essential formulas, and many examples that you can use in the classroom.

Les vidéos notionnelles

Video content is more popular than ever. Students of all ages are increasingly turning to videos when they need to understand a specific concept. Alloprof has hundreds of educational videos on its popular YouTube channel. Each one features a short and sweet explanation of a key concept or topic students tend to struggle with. Videos are great for learning at your own pace, since you can pause or replay sections as needed. Here are some of our most popular math videos:
